Pellevé: The Quick and Painless Anti-Aging Treatment

Pellevé, Anti-Aging Treatment

It’s not always easy to look in the mirror and see the effects of aging that are constantly visible, including fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots. Those considering dermatological care with a special interest in anti-aging treatment may also be overwhelmed by the various techniques and cosmetic services available.

If you’ve been weighing the pros and cons of making that face in the mirror look younger and more rejuvenated, the solution is simple. Pellevé® is a noninvasive, painless treatment with no downtime and the promise of a more youthful appearance.

Does it sound too good to be true? If you think so, we encourage you to put Pellevé to the test. In less than an hour, it can begin to improve some of your major problem areas.

Wrinkles around your mouth? Lines on your forehead? Loose skin around your eyes? Make the inevitable signs of aging a little less obvious with Pellevé, the quick and painless treatment you’ve been waiting for.

The science of Pellevé

Pellevé uses radiofrequency, via a small wand known as the GlideSafe® handpiece. It transfers energy through your skin’s top layer, known as the epidermis, and into the dermis, or the skin’s second layer. This heating stimulates the production of collagen, a protein that helps your body’s skin stay as healthy as possible.

While all of this might sound rather complicated, it’s actually quite simple and the best explanation for why the Pellevé procedure is so successful: The heat causes the collagen in your skin to contract and tighten, restoring skin strength, elasticity, and firmness.

With this technology, Dr. Allen Flood is able to take years off your face.

Why Pellevé?

Patients looking to improve the tone and texture of their skin often seek a dermatology treatment that minimizes downtime and complications and allows for quicker healing.

Pellevé is one such solution, providing unique treatment as an FDA-approved thermal heating system. Some patients have even said the procedure feels like a relaxing hot stone massage.

You might experience some redness due to the heat from the radiofrequency energy, but it should clear quickly. That’s because Pellevé has a relatively low operating temperature, leaving no risk of scarring or other side effects. And because your treatment is performed by a dermatologist with expert knowledge of the skin’s aging process, parameters including device power and frequency, skin temperature, and treatment time are closely monitored to offer the most effective results.

Finally, Pellevé treatments require very little aftercare and are safe for all skin types and skin tones.

You can use a non-exfoliant cleaner and light moisturizer the day of treatment, and you can resume normal skin care the next day. Our staff can also recommend a post-procedure skin care regimen to maximize and prolong your treatments.

There are also no restrictions for sun exposure after your treatment.

Pellevé results

When you’re finished with your Pellevé treatment, the collagen-rebuilding process is just getting started. It continues for hours, days, weeks, and even months after your treatment, but a series of Pellevé treatments may be necessary for the best results.

For 1-3 days after your procedure, treated areas may give off a post-treatment glow. Between 4-15 days after treatment, the collagen-rebuilding process kicks into high gear.
