Doesn’t Pellevé Require Recovery Time?

Pellevé is the revolutionary way to restore a youthful appearance without the downtime associated with conventional, invasive treatments such as face lifts. Pellevé is even less invasive than wrinkle-reducing injections and fillers.

Pellevé uses radiofrequency that penetrates the surface of your skin to stimulate the production of collagen. The procedure feels like a hot stone massage with no pain from this innovative skin smoothing, youth-enhancing treatment. You leave the office ready to go on with your day and no one will know you’ve had the procedure done — unless you tell them.

How does Pellevé work?

Pellevé uses radiofrequency, applied via a small wand, to stimulate your skin’s collagen production. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, and it enhances skin elasticity and firmness and replaces dead skin cells. As you age, your collagen production slows.

But with the radiofrequency stimulation of Pellevé, your body’s production picks back up. This helps restore skin strength, fill in fine lines and wrinkles, and reduce sagging.

What happens during a Pellevé session?

While you lie on a comfortable treatment table, the technician cleans your face and then applies the radiofrequency with the GlideSafe® handpiece, which is specially designed to deliver Pellevé’s healing energy. This handpiece doesn’t damage the surface of delicate, thinner skin that’s been subject to the aging process, including the skin around the eyes.

The entire procedure takes 30-60 minutes, depending on how much of your face and neck you choose to have treated. You feel an immediate glow when you leave the office, and you don’t need to take any special precautions.

What can I expect after Pellevé treatment?

You may have slight redness or mild swelling for a couple of hours due to the higher skin temperatures generated by the radiofrequency treatment, but you can return to work or other daily activities immediately after the procedure. You can apply makeup right away, too, as well as exercise.

Collagen stimulation takes time, so you may need four to eight weeks to notice the significant difference that Pellevé creates in your look. Some people are happy with the results after one session, but many choose to repeat the procedure up to three times.

Because Pellevé involves no injections, incisions, or blood loss, the healing time is quick. All the work is done by your own body, beneath your skin’s surface. With minimally invasive youth-enhancing treatments, such as Botox®, you may experience some temporary bruising or discoloration, but you don’t have any of these side effects with Pellevé.

Why would I choose Pellevé?

You might choose Pellevé if you have fine lines and wrinkles that you’d like softened. You experience an instant glow — people won’t know you had work done, but they will notice you look refreshed. If you have crow’s feet or other facial imperfections that bother you, Pellevé is the answer.
